Mille Bornes for Windows CE 2.x
Mille Bornes is $15 shareware.
Mille Bornes is based on a card game (of the same name)
that originated in France. Literally translated, it means
"thousand stones", and refers to kilometer markers along
the highway.
The object of Mille Bornes is to win a thousand-kilometer
race. (For familiarity's sake, we use "miles" instead of
"kilometers".)
The computer intelligence ("AI") that you're playing
against has four levels of difficulty. The lowest level
("Trivial") is the only one available until you register
the application; on this level, the computer intentionally
makes some bad choices, and should be fairly easy to beat.
Also, as of this writing (August, 1999), we have pre-
release versions of Mille Bornes that allow you to play
against other players (over the Internet or IrDA via
TCP/IP). This feature, when released, will only be
available for registered users.
On "Basic" level, the computer plays like a beginner;
it has very little foresight, and doesn't play very
aggressively.
The "Intermediate" level does everything possible to win
that doesn't require keeping track of which cards have
been played.
The "Expert" level is as aggressive as possible, and counts
the cards as it sees them. It makes the best guesses that
it can.
Bug reports and feature requests should be sent to

If you find that you really like this game, please register
it! Registration costs $15, and will encourage us to
continue developing applications for your platform. You may
either register using the "register.exe" program (which will
be installed in the same directory as Mille Bornes), or
online. For more information about registering online,
please see our web site
